Bob Salpas – Tanto Boot Knife

Bob Salpas was a custom maker based out of California. He was known for his clean, traditional lines and high-quality fit and finish. While he made a variety of hunting and utility knives, he gained a following for his “fighting” knives and Japanese-inspired designs.

Interestingly, Salpas wasn’t just a knife maker; he was also involved in the firearms world. He is famously credited with the design of the Falcon Portsider, which was a specialized left-handed 1911-style .45 ACP pistol produced in the late ’80s.
