The Maker: Claude Montjoy
This custom knife was crafted by the late Claude Montjoy of Clinton, South Carolina. Known widely in the community as the “Dean of South Carolina Knifemakers,” Montjoy began selling custom knives in 1982 and became a respected voting member of the Knifemakers’ Guild. He was highly regarded for his exceptionally clean lines, flawless hand-rubbed finishes, and precise file work until his passing in 2011. His work represents a classic era of American custom knifemaking.
