Vintage Corbet Sigman Custom Upswept Skinner Knife & Leather Sheath

The Maker: Based in West Virginia, Corbet Sigman was a prominent fixture in the custom knife community, hitting his stride in the 1970s and 1980s. He was a member of the Knifemakers’ Guild and famously built a reputation for flawless fit, immaculate mirror-polished finishes, and functional ergonomics. He sadly passed away in 2006.

The Design: This piece is a classic trailing-point or upswept hunter/skinner design. It features an incredibly clean, mirror-polished blade, full-tang construction, a distinct integral-style profile, and elegant, smooth natural handle scales (likely micarta, bone, or ivory ivory based on the coloration) secured with pins. It is accompanied by its custom, heavy-duty black leather sheath.
