The George Wostenholm & Son Historic Revival Bowie (No. 004 of 100)

$1,200.00

A massive, mirror-polished 10-inch carbon steel clip-point Bowie blade featuring a substantial 9mm spine thickness. The primary blade face exhibits an exceptionally crisp, historically accurate, acid-etched design reviving the iconic 1850s American export market eagle. The eagle holds a flowing banner reading “THE I*XL BOWIE.” Stamped deeply on the ricasso is the prestigious historical address and guarantee:

“G. Wostenholm & Son, Washington Works, None Are Genuine But Those Marked I*XL.”

The reverse ricasso is explicitly stamped with the low-issue limited edition serial number 4/100, denoting supreme rarity and museum-grade collector status.

Hilt & Handle:

The knife features an ornate, deeply detailed Victorian-style cast brass crossguard and matching fluted crown pommel with a smooth finial top (half-horseman design variant). The robust handle scales are crafted from highly polished premium dark hardwood (or buffalo horn) split by a classic, unengraved nickel-silver or coin-silver escutcheon inlay pin, preserved perfectly for personal engraving.
